The 2009 scored a massive 93+/100 from Parkers Wine Advocate so we have been awaiting the new release 2010 with much anticapation. This wine has now become what we think is one of the most consistent and good value Gimblett Gravels Bordeaux blends produced. We have had customers now drinking their 2004 vintage and raving about the quality." The 2010 is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. "The colour is bright and inky deep with an amaranth hue. It has lifted aromas of raspberry, plum, licorice, violet and roasted coffee. Its intensely floral and fragrant with hints of cocoa, graphite, char and savoury notes from French oak. The wine is complex and lingering with plum and raspberry flavours with excellent texture, length and balance. Sweet fruit and savoury notes are supported by spicy oak and fine tannins." Only 700 cases are produced.
