2009 was a stunning vintage in Burgundy and this is a great introduction to the wines of the region. 100% Pinot Noir, this wine is produced from a blend of vineyards across the Cote de Nuits in Burgundy. Bouchard are regarded as one of the top negociants in Burgundy and lavish the same care and attention on their Villages wine as they would on their top cuvees. Rich aromas of black berry fruit. Fleshy and very perfumed on the palate, with the marked character of all Côte de Nuits wines. Depending on the profile of the vintage, vatting lasts 8 to 15 days, with maturation for 8 to 14 months in French oak barrels, with 20 to 40% new barrels. A super wine from a great vintage from the home of Pinot Noir.
