Superb Chianti buying because this estate is in the Chianti sub zone of Colli Senssi that is owned by Felsina. Because they don't have the classico designation the wines offer great value drinking as the area is not well known. ( Even though the vineyard is across the road from its $40.00 chianti classico brother! ). "With a true sangiovese expert such as Giuseppe Mazzocolin of Felsiina at the helm, it's no surprise that these are some of the very best wines made in Colli Senesi and prices are ridiculously low for the quality." S.Tanzer. Savoury with a classical personality hinting at raspberry, prune,floral and liquorice. The medium-bodied, tasty palate has a silky mouthfeel leading to a typically Italianate finish. Excellent drinking right now.
