"Opaque ruby. Deeper and more brooding on the nose than the classique, showing dark cherry, cassis and licorice qualities, along with graphite and smoky minerals. Firm dark berry flavors loosen up a bit with air, picking up a gentle sweetness and a distinct mineral tang. The tannins return on the long, chewy finish.
