From 20 year old vines from the Barton vineyard on Huangarua Road. “Ruby red colour with garnet hues, this had an elegant, soft red fruit bouquet with savoury, smoky elements. Medium weighted, this had an elegant and gentle approach with spiced, dark cherry fruits and a fresh lusciousness to the fruit expression. The tannins were fine-grained and the textures sufficiently supple for accessibility. The wine had a silky and harmonious mouthfeel.” 18+/20 Raymond Chan. Regional Wines & Spirits.
