Normally $32. Gold Medal at the NZ International Show and an excellent 2009 vintage in Martinborough has lead to this outstanding value pinot. "The 2009 vintage ( 4 1/2 Stars ) is a great buy. Estate- grown at Te Muna, it was hand- picked at 23- 26 brix and matured for 11 months in French oak casks ( 20% new ). A robust wine, it is very generous, warm and savoury, with deep cherry, plum and spice flavours and ripe, supple tannins. Showing good complexity, it's already delicious." M.Cooper
