2009 Heartland Stickleback Red

This is Ben Glaetzer's great "value for money" red where he blends different varities each year to achieve a wine that is, now exported to 40 countries around the world, receiving consistently positive reviews from the great wine
journalists including James Halliday and Dr Jay Miller ( Parkers Wine Advocate ) The 2009 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon 45%, Shiraz 38%, Dolcetto 9% and Lagrein 8%
The grapes are grown in the South Australian regions of Langhorne Creek 67% and Limestone Coast 33%
"Vivid purple-crimson; a complex blend of Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz/Dolcetto/Lagrein that may well be a shotgun marriage of bits and pieces, but the wine comprehensively over-delivers on its price point." James Halliday. Food suggestions: Char-grilled lamb or a juicy steak. Enjoy the magic of one of Australias best winemakers.
